ask, "How do I direct a movie?" The short answer is simple: a movie
producer directs the movie in production. Producers organize and coordinate all
aspects of movie production, which includes organizing the writing, direction,
editing, and casting. Therefore, a movie producer is arguably one of the most
complex and involved roles on a movie set.
Let's start
with the most obvious aspect of movie production: the acting. Each actor is
responsible for his or her own script, providing their own vocal cords, adjusting
their eye movements, walking the streets, and so forth. But how does the
director make sure the actors are onside and on time for each scene? To do
this, a director relies on the cinematography. The cinematography is the
aesthetics and the aesthetic elements of a movie such as shots, angles, music,
lighting, and props.
Cinematographer
refers to the person who actually shot the film, taking pictures, and doing all
other elements of the movie set up. For example, a Production Coordinator will
have the job of coordinating shots. Coordinating shots is the term used when
there is a constant change in the filming location, such as when a car stops in
the street, an actress has to move into a new part of the house, etc. In some
films, the Production Coordinator will also have the title role, meaning he or
she is in charge of choosing props and other details that enhance the
production as a whole. A Production Coordinator also often acts as the show
runner, or is in charge of telling the actors and crew what the plan is, the
big theme, and so forth. The Production Coordinator is therefore heavily
involved in the process of making a movie and basically has one goal: ensuring
the movie is successful.
Production
Manager refers to the director, producer, or person in charge of all aspects of
movie production. He or she is the person who receives footage from the
cinematography department, sets up shots, chooses the music, and all other
elements of the movie set up. The Production Manager also has the title of Show
Runner, which is his or her job title. In some films, the Production Manager
will also act as the editor.
Film
Producer refers to the person in charge of the money, finding a distributor,
consulting with investors, looking at locations, casting, writing, directing,
and producing. He or she also consults with directors about how the movie will
be marketed, and deals with different types of contracts. Most producers start
out as assistants to producers. There are many different types of producers,
such as movie executives, TV producers, and agents, and they each have their
own way of running a production.
Writing and
directing are the two most important aspects of creating a movie. Writing is
the process in which an author will put down the ideas on paper. He or she will
work with the director to make sure the story and the supporting characters are
in line with the vision that the director has for the movie. Once the writer is
satisfied, he or she will go back and add extra and remove scenes that do not
fit with the story. Editing is the process by which an editor removes the
unnecessary words or parts of words from the screenplay. When comparing

An Associate
Producer is not a real role in the movie making process. However, it can play a
very important role if the movie is a commercial production and needs to be
shown to a wide audience. The Associate Producer is the intermediary between
the director, producer, writer, and actor. He or she does the technical work,
such as collecting payments, negotiating contracts, and looking after the
budget.
